Indeed it is, many thanks! Unfortunately I don't have on this PC the picture I took on Oct. 6th from that very same position... but the progress has been absolutely staggering. Congrats Tokyo.

Does anybody know what locals are thinking of this development? Sumida ward looked like a quiet neighbourhood to my eyes, I remember that even the Asahi Building used to be locked down quite early at nights. This tower will take a lot of hype to the neighbourhood, won't it?

I don't know about the local residents but the local shops seem to be pretty happy with the people that people that come to the neighbourhood to watch the tower. I can imagine that there are people that don't like all this fuss but there more then enough people that like all the sudden attention for the neighbourhood that wouldn't be there without the tower. Home owners should also be happy because it should have a positive effect on the property prices in the neighbourhood, especially if there's a view of the tower.

The blogger continue to blog even though there nothing much new to shoot on the tower, but this resulted in the best documented tower crane installation this project has ever seen. It's the 2nd tower for the 160m office tower that will be the new headquarters for the Tobu Railways (the main developer of the Sky Tree).

The pictures and video's are from the last 4 days from various blogs.

When the crane was finished they didn't waste any time and gave it a jump.

You mean the side by side identical pics? How do you see 3-d out of that?

you're supposed to do the cross eyed thing or something aren't you?

It doesn't seem to work very well for me, because I can't focus when I cross my eyes, but it does appear vaguely 3D but blurry when I do that.

It doesn't work for me at all...still see two of everything...not even a vague hint of 3d.

Worked great for me. Obviously get further away from the screen if your eyes aren't able to angle that strongly.

Well, this may not be the best way, but you can cross your eyes until the two images overlap into a single 3D image. You might get a small headache, but the 3D is worth it!
