Obviously it's not that easy. Some of us cannot see these things from day one. I've talked to several folks that have done everything but stand on their heads to see the effect. Consider yourself gifted I suppose, but never assume that moving back a bit will help, it does not.

Hmm i see. The only guideline that can be given is that you try to have the two overlap; left and right meet in the middle to overlap.

If you're 2 meters away from your screen you should at least be able to do it physically without any eye-strain. If your brain can't "lock in", then that's another challenge of course. I'm bad at swallowing pills, so i won't insist this is easy for everyone

You are completely missing the point. I cannot see 3d in this image anymore than the composite images that used to show up in the Sunday paper. No amount of speculation or instructions on how to cross one's eyes will change that. Let's move on back to topic!

I was in Tokyo a few weeks ago, and from Asakusa, this thing is huge. Pictures can't describe Sky Tree. To think that it's not even close to its final height is mind blowing.

tokyo just needed something like this. tokyo had no great skyline but is giant in scale and a tower like this is the perfect way to change this

The main effect it will have on the Skyline is that it will make it even more spread out then it already is. It will really only have a big impact on the Eastern side of the center, in Shibuya or Shinjuku it will only be a far away tower that you can only see from higher up.

No, Berlin doesn't really have a Skyline. If Tokyo's centers where even further away from each other they would all have a good skyline on their own. There's just not 1 skyscraper that really sticks out, but statistically it is the worlds 3rd skyscraper city behind New York and Hong Kong.

Tokyo is not really a tall skyline city anyways. I think it's magical the way it is right now. Relatively tall and modern buildings all over the place. Go inside the Yamanote loop and you're in heaven. Man I can't get enough of this city after my last visit!
