The Sky Tree doesnt have a nice shape. In my eyes it looks ugly. Canton Tower looks ways better. It feels scared that Tokyo Tower will loss its title as the most recognized building in Tokyo. So sad. =(

According to a post on page 51 CLICK in this thread then these are "JCC-V720A". I would find it very odd to see a non Japanese crane, machine, etc. on a construction site in Japan, they are very good to support the domestic manufacturers.

Link to more images on this crane type: http://www.rogiken.org/heavy/ccs/iuk...720a-01-1.html

Has anyone made a reference to the Southpark episode where Japan tries to build a ladder to heaven?

Haha, in some pictures (when the top is in the clouds) this surely resembles that episode.

Now let's wait for Southpark to start theirs.

"where were you...when the build the ladder to heaven"

The same it have been for the past few weeks, 398 meters, and it won't grow any further until they have reposition the cranes on the core so that they continue the construction.

I can't wait until they get the growing going again. By the way do anyone know how the two "core cranes" will be positioned?

From the towers in Roppongi will be one of the best places to see the Sky Tree behind the skyline.
