I like it that nearly on every page someone is asking about that office building and its hight. Cant people just search or go a few pages backwards?

Back on topic! Its still simply fantastic how FAST things get built in Japan :O
That office tower is rising fast!

weekend blog round up:

The 160m high office tower isn't the only thing that is being cladded right now.

blogs.yahoo.co.jp/masatoshi0102

The 1st pod is also getting a skin.

Glass floors in the 1st pod for a good view down.

It looks tall but from the pictures I can't seem to understand when they will start the next observation deck , they should be in that territory based on the designs

It's the same as with the 1st pod, first the tower will grow above the 2nd pod and then they will built it around the tower.

The top of the second pod is 470m?
The tower will need to grow to this point, then they will start the second pod.

I believe that the will even grow to 495m, the top of the steel frame before they start with the 2nd pod.

As for this morning.

IS THAT A GLASS FLOOR? I've seen the one at the Palms in Vegas, and the glass bridge that goes out over the Grand Canyon. This will be a MUST SEE! I did not plan to travel to Tokyo, but now.....

Is it higher than the glass box at the Sears (Willis) tower?

Yes, glass floors are always a nice touch.
The old Tokyo Tower also has one. But itīs only at 150m high, against the new 350m high
The glass corridor on the second pod will be amazing too!

Yes, the glass floor (observation level) of the SWFC building in Shanghai is higher
than the glass floor in the CN Tower. Just like the Sky Tree, the glass floor at the
CN Tower is at the bottom of the lower "pod".
Still, it is thrilling to step on it.
