from a distance, it does need more then 50 LEDs to really make a big impression.

Awesome photos! I think the tower looks a little odd at the moment, for obvious reasons of course, but once the second pod is in place it will become more natural looking.

How many "floors" of steel are still missing for structure top out? I know that the spire will be pushed out slowly after top out. Thanks for update!

IMO just one "floor", they are now at 488m and according to Culwullas diagram of this one, the steel structure should top out at 491m, so the last "floor" adds the last 3 meters.

I thought the 'roof' was at 495m? So it's one or two more, or maybe they are including some future railing, or small spires as 495.

Amazing tower! Love Japan! Love tokyo! perfect example of town planning.

Wouldn't want to be up there though during an earthquake... would be quite scary.

I think it would be the best place in an earthquake! Nothing will fall on your head.

True, but at that height the shaking might cause you to inadvertantly let something fall out of your pants!

Also, I like that you can already see the glass floor area in place. It's so fun to watch tourists freak out as they walk across it in the current Tokyo Tower.

The tower cranes grow for the last time today.

And the 1st props for the last level are being lifted up onto the 1st pod.

tokyo2ndtower.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/

The 495m is coming closer and closer.
