Thanks a lot for those funktastic pictures and videos!!
You guys really deserve a big

I am wodering though... is the space between the two taller tower cranes and the core of the tower enough to fit the second pot in?
Or will the outer part of the second pod be constructed around the tower cranes somehow since they could go through the grid structure of the tower?
Does anyone know?

Japanese kept the balance between nature and urbanism very very well. One of a kind indeed!

It should fit, it's not as wide as the 1st one and the cranes are standing further from the tower then it appears in most pictures.

If they would construct the pod around the tower cranes it would become virtually impossible to dissemble them when the tower is finished. It could be done with a smaller on the top of the 2nd pod, but I don't think that it will be able to take down all the crane parts between the 1st and 2nd pod. It's also very impractical since the cranes will be needed on the top for the spire long after the 2nd pod is finished.

One night shot to finish the post.

There a typhoon heading straight for Tokyo - about 3 days away so plenty of time for the forecast to be completely wrong ....

Oh, and coldest October day in 72 years today. 10 degrees in Tokyo so must have been pretty chilly up there. Mother nature getting more and more angry as the years go by - the TST might have a test ahead of it soon.

He studies architecture but does not know the difference between a building and a tower. Don't architecture schools have entrance qualifications, or did he get a scholarship as a football player, like Forrest Gump?
