Prob one crane will be used to lower the dismantled other, than a helicopter will take care of the remaining one.

most of the time a small crane which can be transported trough the inside elevator will dismantel the larger cranes and hoist the parts down. When it's done it will return though the elevator downwards.

This is the very first time that I see an angle where the Annex building looks its real size. From must angles it looks "insignificant"

Thanks for sharing!

Lol, it's all a matter of context. That tower can dwarf pretty much anything, super-scale!

Night shots will be a billion times better once the tower is lit up.

It would be even better if Sumida would get a few skyscrapers close to the Sky Tree. Are there any upcoming skyscraper projects in Sumida.

Some weird news on the Tokyo Sky Tree (Via Metafilter):

"A tower resembling Tokyo Sky Tree -- the world's tallest broadcasting tower currently under construction in Tokyo's Sumida Ward -- has been found depicted on a landscape ukiyo-e woodblock print from the mid-19th century." And they aren't kidding!

more here:

http://mdn.mainichi.jp/arts/news/201...na011000c.html

or here, on Neatorama

http://www.neatorama.com/2011/04/06/...r-time-travel/

Image from Neatorama

"Toto Mitsumata no Zu," a drawing dated from 1831, by artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi

The ukiyo-e print drew particular attention over mysterious tower depicted on the left part of the work, leading some to surmise that the artist had predicted the emergence of Tokyo Sky Tree in modern times.

The left side of the work shows two thin, high-rise buildings looking down on the town of old Tokyo across the river. The one on the far left is believed to be a fire-watch tower. However, experts say no building as tall as the mysterious one next to it existed back in those days.
