That is truly amazing! If they continue like this we will probably see new floors being added every 2-3 days. It seems they are only missing the columns in the far left, to finish this floor.

I can't wait to see some of the outer foundations rising too.

BTW: It is already above street level, isn't it?

Is this the core of the tower! If it is, that's so fast.

It's having an unfinished round shape with an elevater shaft in the middle, whereas the outer steel frame should have some kind of edges. So i think Momo is right.

Does anyone know if they are already working in nightshifts?

Wow! Nice Tower... They are really fast... thats good... but it could mean nothing, if it starts fast it can go very slow after a few months or weeks... We'll see.

This is the shitamachi, or low city. It's always looked like that, but that's its charm. It's hardly crime infested.

yeah, no-one could ever accuse everyday Tokyo neighborhood buildings of being pretty. interesting sometimes, but never really pretty. on the upside, they rarely stand for more than 20-30 years.

Nice to see progress on the Sky Tree too. if the speed of other construction here is anything to go by, I should be seeing this rise on the horizon very soon

I used an online translator to figure out what the timetable in the Blog means:

Quote:
It went between the end of year beginning of the year 休 term of works from today to January 3rd. Because also 4 days Sunday are 休 manufacture, those where construction is reopened are January 5th.
They suspended the work from December 31st till January 4th. So there will be no progress on the site till next week. Nevertheless the japanese bloggers are continuing their work during this period.

The picture from January 1st, which is the newest one available, is looking the same as the one from New Years Eve.
