Wow, that video is so smooth. Very nice on full screen.
Itīs a good way to see all the towers of Tokyo, as itīs impossible to capture all of them in a single photo.
But why the counter on the bottom? Quite distracting XD

Tokyo looks amazing, it reminds me so much of the racing games I used to play when I was younger.

Tokyo is still the best city in the world. No doubt about that.

for sure in terms of.... "cityness"
Tokyo is always the first thing that come in my mind if I think of a city, it's big, undefined, always changing.
for sure there are cities that looks more beautiful, full of monuments and history, or where it's better to live, but I think that Tokyo it's just "more urban" of every other city I've ever seen

More urbanized than New York city? Tokyo is a great city and world largest but not actually the best.

What's "best" is highly subjective. De gustibus non est disputandum.

I went to Tokyo at Christmas for the third time, and its my favorite city.
Although "Best" is so subjective, I would at least venture to say it is the most modern and progressive city in the world.

World's Greatest City: 50 reasons why Tokyo is No. 1
http://www.cnngo.com/tokyo/none/worl...#ixzz1atAGtYuE

OK, still an opinion but it's an interesting list that shows the diversity of Tokyo.

~~~~~~
btw. It's been awhile since my last blog update.
Not much has changed my last own updates, but let's post some pictures anyway.
There are 2 cranes on the tower for a while now. But according to the most recent schedule they should be taken down pretty soon.
http://ameblo.jp/tokyo-skytree-blog/
They also started installing more equipment on the platforms between the two pods.
In November the LED illumination of the tower will be tested, but only in daylight. We probably have to wait for the opening in May to see the Sky Tree all lighted up at night.
The Best of Tokyo are security and nigth life...Others largest cities the nigth life dies in cold winter and Tokyo are the hottest because the winter is not severe!
In the third pic from the bottom, either that wooden structure isn't quite vertical, or the skytree isn't....I wonder which it is.
The first shot made me laugh . About the illumination, is there any preview of how it will be?
This video from Panasonic
And look here for some bigger animations.
http://denko.panasonic.biz/Ebox/everleds/special/st/
But the big news of today is that Crane 5 lifted it's last load up on the tower, and that was crane 7 the very last crane that will be used and that is small enough to be taken down by the elevator.
http://tokyo2ndtower.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/
Straight after crane 6, the last proper tower crane that was installed 3 weeks ago started to dismantle crane 5.
Thanks, Momo! It will become very unique with a classic feeling. Do you have videos of the removal of the last crane? I don't know how to search it on youtube.
