Nice! Were these photos taken from the outside of the pod?

There is another pic from that blog I want to post, but I can´t save it in big size:

Tonight was the Tokyo Hotaru Festival. Hotaru means Firefly, and the festivities were the release of 100,000 blue solar powered LED lighted balls into the Sumida river. The Sky Tree was also lighted up blue for the occasion.

Japan showed, that you can build super skyscrapers on the areas, which are endangered with strong earthquakes. I congratulate on skyscraper many times.

Nice dance
How does the "TV screen-building" system work? Because it seems it can projects quite detailed video. Another cool feature for visitors.

It's a technique called Projection Mapping, This made it possible to project images and video's on large surfaces like the facades of buildings. It has become quite popular recently, you can see many videos on YouTube from projections on other buildings.

8 days before the opening.

This tower is to Tokyo what the CN Tower is to Toronto: Its new official landmark.

Here's a webpage with 6 pages of pictures of all the shops, restaurants and bars in the Tokyo Solamachi mall underneath the Sky Tree.

http://www.fashionsnap.com/inside/soramachi-all/

Here are some examples of shops with a Sky Tree related theme.

Tokyo Banana Tree

Cakes

Glasses

toys

candles

And many more pictures in the link:

The opening events have also started with a festival by and for the local residents.

With all these pictures, Tokyo surprised me positively. A bit like Asia's New York I guess. Have been in Seoul twice but Tokyo attracts me very much. Tokyo Sky Tree is a really nice swagger building but they also needs them in my eyes

To take a trip to Japan has never been so eagerly awaited then now
