東京スカイツリー、地中熱利用した冷暖房を導入、二酸化炭素、排出2271トン削減

 東武鉄道は2月17日、高さ610mの電波塔を建設している東京都墨田区の「東京スカイツリー地区」に、地中熱を利用して冷暖房や給湯を行う熱供給システムを導入すると発表した。個別方式のシステムに比べ年間、二酸化炭素排出量を約48%、2271トン削減できる見込み。これは墨田区の約半分の面積の森林が吸収する量に相当するという。

 2009年から、東京スカイツリーが開業する2012年までに段階的に設備を稼働させる。地下に蓄えた約7000トンの水を媒体とし、冬は外気より温かい地中から熱を取り出して暖房に使い、夏は熱を地中に放出して冷房に利用することで、エネルギー消費を抑える。外気に熱を放出しないため、ヒートアイランド現象の抑制にも寄与するという。

 また7000トンの水は大規模災害の発生時に消防用水、生活用水として地域に提供する。生活用水としては、成人約23万人が1日に必要とする量があるとしている。

 東武鉄道子会社の東武エネルギーマネジメントが事業を手がける。9月には、東京スカイツリー付近にある東武鉄道新本社ビル地下で水冷却装置と温水ボイラーを稼働させる。2012年には開発中の地区西側で、地中熱利用システムや、より大規模な冷却装置、ボイラーを稼働させる。その後も冷却装置などを増設するという。地区内には総延長2800mの冷水/温水管を巡らせる予定。

The Tobu Isesaki Line from Asakuka to Isesaki. Between Narihirabashi station and Hikifune station you will see the construction site.

Cool! I will check it out someday. But right now Euro -> Yen conversion rate is a bit too sucky to travel to Japan.

Yeah, Japan is very expensive. But sooo different and interesting, i definitely wanna visit

Tokyo Tower is quite the symbol for the citizens from what i heard many times, so they'll surely love their Skytree!

It can be expensive, certainly, just like any world-class capital city but Tokyo can also be very cheap too. It depends on what living standards you want, and how much personal space (above the norm) you would require. That said, there's no denying the current exchange rate sucks donkeyballs. Glad I went last summer and avoided the currency crash

I stayed 5 months in Japan juste after the crash ( from Sept to Jan) and I can tell you that Japan is less expensive (not for everything though) than western europe, the food is much cheaper.
