Why is it gonna be named Tokyo Tower? There is already a Tokyo Tower. Why not naming it another name?

as for the tower it looks fantastic, hopefully it turns out exactly as shown on them renders.

That's a very elegant and futuristic design. Far better than the ones in Toronto, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou (UC) and Moscow.

^mixed use? It's a telecom tower. It's main purpose is for HD broadcasts.

so it will be named as Tokyo tower again?????

It's name is Sumida Tower.

The Guangzhou TV tower is also 610 meter, I don't know why you say Tokyo tower is the tallest.
Besides, from my point of view, the Guangzhou TV tower is better than the Tokyo if the rendering in this post is the final design.
