What date would be the opening of the Tokyo Sky Tree? I would like to visit it when I would be in Tokyo?

Yeah, what was shocking about that animation was that the spire is apparently going to be jacked up all the way from ground level. I thought they would have assembled it piece by piece with a crane. Guess not.

They are getting ready for some serious progress, one of the tower cranes have just risen a bit.

This is a very exciting, well designed and useful project, it will truly bring a new level to the Tokyo skyline.

There are some good photos of and from the Eiffel Tower on the reporting.jp site, as well.

Very nice tower. Why is it called the sky tree? will there be a garden on top?

I do not think there is any garden but based on the CGs, it looks like there may be a waterslide going around it.

Some tubes begin to rise .

The structure will come soon. Lifting the cranes to a higher level is a good sign!

It is for the Christmas tree.
It is a joke.
However, it seems to express the tree by light.

The 2nd crane is a bit taller then yesterday.

Also the steel frame is already a bit taller, to bad it's not very visible because of all the scaffolding.
