those 2 fully jacked up cranes should be freaky, because its only attached to the tubing and the concrete its standing on. BD's jacked crance was attached to more than 2 places right?

I recommend you to read paper "Japanese tailoring" in "International Cranes" journal http://www.khl.com/servlet/file/ic_s...SPEC_ENT_ID=42 (Page 17).

Japanese cranes are desighned for work in seismic active regions and can withstand during work the wind speeds of 55 m/sec. So I think these cranes don't need additional attachments to building. But at the top of TST construction these cranes probably will be additionaly attached to tower (see Momo1435 posts above).

These cranes are really concurents for Favelle Favco cranes used at BD construction. And I don't understand why Japanese tower cranes sellers are not active beyond Japan. Maybe Japanese tower cranes are more expensive? I don't know... But even in this case these Machines are more safe.

Of course it has all the elements of withstanding the hazards... especially when its in Japan.

I meant with the view from the crance cabin./

Tokyo is an amazing city and there are many many reasons why you should go now to see it.

[Edit] - the Sky Tree would be the icing on the cake, of course. I'm just saying, this isn't the only reason to have the time of your life in Tokyo

the tubes for this tower must take longer to weld, looks thicker than the tubes used for GTT.

A Japanese name is Tokyo Sky Tree, too.

In the pronunciation of words in Japanese, Toukyou Sukai Tsuri-.
