It was more luck then patience, they lifted the part like 5 minutes after I arrived. So I also didn't stay to too long and could slowly walk to Kameido Sunstreet to meet up with some friends to see an event.

Let me do a quick blog update again, since the core is rising pretty fast and has finally risen above the scaffolding again.

It's about time to raise those cranes again.

I just wonder how high they can build the scaffolding until it collapses?

why? if its stuck to the building, then it wont. If its self supported, not very high. (certainly won't make 808m by itself.)

You mean, Labor or Landmate?
Mobile suit would be too bulky, but Eva would do it well.

Hi, it's my first post and I'm hoping someone who is knowledgeable about the construction of Tokyo Sky Tree can answer a question I have. I see that there is a massive scaffolding being erected but I'm wondering what purpose it serves and how high it will go. The large tube shaped pieces that are being attached to each other don't appear to require workers to assemble the pieces from the scaffolding, or at least that's how it looks from the photos. This construction seems like it would be similar to the GZtv tower but I don't recall any sort of scaffolding on that project. Also, the base starts off shaped like a triangle and gradually changes to a circular shape as it goes higher so I can't imagine that the scaffolding would go all the way to the top and also change it's shape as it went higher. Anyway, it's a very interesting and fast moving project and I'm just curious about how they're going to construct it. Thanks.
