Something's wrong with this tower, IMO. It's too stiff and severe--erector set looking. Love the decks, though.

Why is it stunning?
Its just a tower... It doesnt even look big even though its tall
Its like CN tower, only upper decks are usable,
You know they can easily build those super tall tv towers that are like 3 metres thick, these arent stunning, this one uses same principle

I really hoped Tokyo would bould something BIG like Jin Mao tower or ... even one of those in UAE around Burj
Imean these are buildings even if its 300-400m its better than 600m observation deck
althogh you can kill me now, this is just my opinion

the old tokyo tower is surrounded by many skyscrapers lately and the transmission of tv sign is quite bad. So in 2010 the sign will be shift to digital and tokyo needs a new tower able to send all the sign to the whole Tokyo area.

Hmm... It will take a while for it to grow on me... The design is nice except for those two observation decks.

I like the new design much better, nonetheless Guangzhou TV tower is still ahead of it in my opinion.

The current design is much better and it reminds me of The Millenium Tower.

I like it too- very striking. Is it wise to build such a tall building in an earthquake zone like Tokyo? The city is expecting the next 'big one', isn't it?

Imagine the views from that thing!
