8/2 blog-round up

There's also a height target for August, 120m.

bigger pictures of the pictures of above.

The Oshiage Narihirabashi shopping district around the tower has a new mascot called "Oshinarikun" (おしなりくん), he's got a nice hat.

Those overhead shots are so cool! Looks like a spider's web from above... incredible engineering.

Just got my ticket to Tokyo =) Gonna be cool to see it for myself at last!

Should be pretty damn high by then...

I promise to take some pics for y'all, and maybe shoot some video of the cranes in action.

56 days to go......

kampai!

Hm, I already asked my question on other topic, but I think it is more appropriete to ask here since it is about this tower. I noticed that the rendering show two circular bases of observer boxes on top of the tower; however, the base is triangle shape. Is it by design or an honest mistake by the render designer?

It's correct, as the tower grows it slowly goes from the triangular shape at the base to a round shape at 320 meters.

on this picture you can already see a curve coming into the triangle.

And Monday height update:

93m

8/3 Blog round-up

The only good picture from the 1st crane that was raised comes from a blog that doesn't update too often.

tkyskytree.exblog.jp/

And a smaller one.

Just imagine when this picture will have the completed tower, I estimates that the top would be somewhere around the upper edge of the image

All they need to do is placed all the hot air colorful balloons in the sky. Voila, it is "Ballooning Over Paris" or in this case "Ballooning Over TOKYO...of my dreams". Yeah, still remember that vintage poster hanging somewhere in my old apartment.

Both skylines are similar Parisian girl (full of low rises with a famous landmark), the only big difference is Paris intramuros is a XIX century city and Tokyo a futuristic city.
