Great updates Momo (and others). This is one of the projects I am watching and saving pics from.

Thanks Fury, that sure makes sense.

Judging by this last Picture, the diameter of the Pipes should be around 1.30 meters. Anyone knows the actual size?

They are all different. Judging by the pictures, the corner ones are the widest, and they get narrower as you move toward the center of each face.

After the lost day on Monday the workers have done their best to make up for it. The result is that around 8:00 AM today the tower got a new core part making it grow considerably in one day.

Yes, I decided to Google blog search the Tokyo Sky tree and post many pictures on top of the regular blogs. Now the Sky Tree is starting to make an impact on the skyline we will see more random bloggers posting pictures of the Skytree, not because they closely follow the construction but because they see that something special is rising here.

Any progress in the structure surrounding the tower? What's happening to the shopping mall and the 30story building to be constructed nearby?

I've only seen some foundation work around the tower on some pictures and after looking at the planning it will be summer 2010 when the other buildings start to grow. 2011 will be a very busy year on the building site with everything around the tower going up when for the tower only the spire will be jacked up to it's full height.

But the first big change on the site is when the old Tobu Railway offices around Narihirabashi Station will be demolished.

schedule:
