What do you mean ? If you didn't know, that's the building's core. Where the elevators, stairs, MEP, etc are located at.

the core stops at lev64 or 308m and then becomes a steel frame hollow shell structure like in jin mao or icc in hk.

oh lol, thought the 'core' was to be removed or else it would just be in the way lol, oh so its hollow, but how does that even work, do they have a core in other buildings? i mean wouldnt it be abit in the way, even if it was hollow, it would be like you know... kinda weird....

Yes, most skyscrapers have a core, designed to bear most of the vertical loads. And, usually it is concrete-made like in this case, but it can also be made with steel beams (like in the case of former New York WTC). If it's concrete, it's usually hollow and contains elevators and technical systems for the building (electrical, hydraulic, etc.). And in this particular building possibly commercially usable space too, since the core is so large. Only we were not talking about the core in the last posts, we were about the external steel megacolumns - the orange-colored ones.
