yes great tower. but please read the rules. you must put status of project in thread title. i was expecting this to be uc but its still proposal. its reaaaaaallly easy to do puting status in title.
i am starting to loose number of how many over 300m uc or planend to start. i think ill be extedning height of diagram. just too many to track.

Oh, I didn't know those rules, sorry. I'll pm the mods to update some titles.

Btw, this supertall is approved. They're starting it this year

Won in an international competition featuring some of the world’s best known architects, London based Terry Farrell and Partners have been commissioned to design the 439m tall Kingkey Finance Tower. Scheduled to begin construction late 2007, it will be Shenzhen's tallest tower as well as one of the world’s tallest mixed use buildings when completed in 2010. The 97 storey tower comprising over 210,000m2 of accommodation, is part of their master plan design for a 2-phase, 355,000m2 mixed use development. There are two floors of basement retail connecting directly to a new metro station; 5,500 m2 of banking trading halls slated for two prestige banks; 167,000m2 of Grade A office space over 68 floors; and, 30,000 m2 over 22 floors of “6 Star” business hotel complete with state-of-the-art conference and business facilities. A variety of fine dining options are contained within the crowning sky garden feature on the top 4 floors. Rational and efficient planning principles combined with the gently curved profile result in a desirable variety in the plan form at each floor. Situated on Hong Kong's doorstep with a population of over 6 million Shenzhen is perhaps the fastest growing city in the world and China's biggest port. Located in the city's prime district of Luohu, the tower’s position and orientation will give panoramic views over all of Shenzhen as well as views to Hong Kong. The tower's fluid, elegant shape and reflective skin is an allusion to a fountain that connotes the wealth and prosperity springing forth from the economic success zone that is Shenzhen.

I just noticed how thin it is...
Shun Hing Square broke the record to become the thinnest supertall in the world when completed in 1996. The ratio of its width of main structure against its height was something like 1:7.
I measured that ratio for Kingkey, it was almost 1:10! Maybe another record breaker...

Unlike most 300+ skyscrapers which are boxy and start the main structure with a balanced regular shape,(mostly square , some times circular shapes) Shenzhen's skyscrapers are forming their own styles.

The top four floors will be given over to a sky garden, which will provide dining facilities for guests.
