If HK keep being reluctant from development along the other pearl river cities, they will soon be left behind.
Hong Kong can always develop those lands in the future. What Shenzhen lacks is farmland.
By the time all farmland in shenzhen has been replaced by concrete buildings, Hong Kong will then export high quality organic food to Shenzhen.

Do you even think Shenzhen can catch up with Hong Kong's per capita GDP, just by building tall buildings?

Honestly, I'm not a fan of that lighting scheme with the vertical lines going straight up. Something about it looks off to me.

Hmm actually I like it! Normally I find colored lights to be very cheap looking, but here it looks really cool.

the construction of building should included the overall urban renewal in the area.
I went to kingley plaza last April, shock to discover the back of this beautiful building was row of ugly low rise.likely built in the early 80's.

My opinion is that now that they have every single inch of the building covered with multicolor LED they can do whatever they want. Subtle or gross, stylish or kitshy. Let's just hope that the people in charge of the programing and designing will be up to the task!!!
