In the Philipppines atleast, the most exclusive malls are "The Podium", "Greenbelt" and "Le Galleries de Collines Vertes" (Greenhills Jewelry)

Indeed Fortnum and Masons is a very posh department store, along with harvey Nichols, Libertys, Selfridges (though it has a mass appeal too) and Harrods (kitsch and tacky but tourists and the Londonsky Russian set love it) in London.

Akmerkez Shopping Mall in Istanbul is the only retail facility which won both the "Best Shopping Mall of the World" (1996, 1999, 2001) and the "Best Shopping Mall of Europe" (1995) awards from ICSC.

^That looks like Galeries Lafayette on Haussmann in Paris (the Christmas lighting).

I think Harrod's is the most luxurious department store I've been to.

Selfridges & Co. - Birmingham, England

BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND

Birmingham's most luxorious store is Selfridges Department store. It isn't half as good as HArrod's in London, but it's only 3 years old!!

I have just realized that the Tiffany & Co. shop in Manila looks like a tiny version of the Tiffany & Co. store along 5th Avenue in New York

Harrod's is far from luxurious. The only thing going for it is the food hall which is amazing. The rest of it is a complete joke. Harrod's reminds me of an overpriced Las Vegas department store. Whenever I take my friends/family to Harrod's they are always let down by the store. It screams tack!

I have to say that the bes/most Malls/luxury shops are in Hong Kong.

Here's a pic of Chanel's new flagship. Incorporates in excess of 250,000 LEDS (the only store in the world to use this advanced LED technology). The store is capable of displaying various images/videos/designs to reflect seasons, moods, styles etc. Now that is High-Tech!

Well in Chicago I'm bound to say Marshall Field's, the store itself is lovely.

A big box store brimming with loud, obnoxious lights is the last thing I'd use to counter an accusation of tackiness.

And Marshall Field looks awesome. To me, that's the essence of a luxurious department store (historic, independent, and not attached to a mall).

Attica department store Athens, Greece, in a recently renovated building, the size of a city block.
