I am closely associated with CSIA project and everytime I am at site for review meeting......feel happy to see the progress and the way the airport is shaping up......afterall this should have happened atleast 15years back nevertheless it isn't too late.

I think this terminal is going to be a much more refined and higher quality (for the lack of a better term) than terminal 3 in Delhi especially in terms of aesthetics and finishes. Delhi airport is very utilatarian cheap looking for all the hot air that GMR was blowing about how it was going to be one of the top 5 airports in the world. Of course we shouldn't forget that it is a hundred times better than what was already there.

Great update, coolguy. It looks like you drive by Sahar terminal a lot.
![]() Once can see the columns and girders of the u/c temporary (departures) loop-back ramp in the fourth photo of post #3999. Quote:

Great photos there Coolguyz. I believe the ramp in the last photo of post #3999 is the exit ramp from the departures level. This will be a temporary ramp of course, once the main terminal construction starts it will be torn down.
Let's not forget that while DEL's T3 is probably not all that "showcase-like" from the outside, (not my opinion, I like it-a lot), it's the inside that speaks volumes. And as is the case with any new terminal project of that size, not everything will be 100% perfect, but if I know GMR, it will listen to passenger feedback and make improvements. GVK has also proven that already. |

The quality of glass used it top notch.
Somehow reminds me of the glass used on "the shard" skyscraper in london. |
