The Way Ahead
According to immediate plans, Terminal 2A, which is the most active terminal and hosts majority of the airlines, will soon be shutting operations completely and will subsequently be demolished altogether. This calls for a relocation of operations from Terminal2A to Terminals 2B and 2C, to service the grow*ing number of international passengers during the period in which a New Common User Terminal is being constructed. Facilitating the relocation of services are extensive ongoing interior works in T erminal2, landside works viz., constructing a new multi-level car park and a single flow entry-way; addition of three passenger boarding gates and a new improved security sys*tem among other things. There will be a total of 17 to 24 aircraft passenger boarding bridges to expedite smooth transit and save time. The estimated annual capacity of this facility is proposed at approximately 12 million international passengers. |

Cool Google photos...yeah I only notice some new taxi ways but its difficult to see the changes so high up! lol. The changes relevant are more at earth level where it matters.

Mastboy, thanks for the visual updates. 2B's looking good for a structure who's demolition is imminent.
25.8 million and growing...loving it, but hating the hassle-ridden circling. Thankfully, change is on it's way... |

No you're not ![]() Well its just that as of now they've dug-up most of the area to the right of runway 27 beside the domestic terminal 1A to make a new & bigger terminal. But thats about it.

Yeh, their little family feud is slowing progress. That said, I thought there was NO progress, but there has been a significant amount, compared to what I had thought.

u think? i think it has added some competitive tension. witness the effect on the mthl. it got delayed because of bureaucratic shenanigans, but we now have just a 10 year lease as opposed to the earlier 75 year lease.

Your right! their feud and competition between them has slowed some projects right down as they both wont to build the same things!
