Muke bas baru tu punyelah hensem : :Thanks Tamago for the pics. Anyway, do you know if the bus fare will maintain or going up in the future ? Sejak bila ada bas nombor "B" tu ? Lagi satu-- dengar kata semua bas T dah tukar ke U. And KL Sentral bukan lagi destinasi terakhir ???

Im sort of wrong on the "batch" because there is actually another type that appeared at the same time as the "3rd batch" buses...but anways, yeah, this is the "5th batch" as I identified them.
Seriously? Mercedez Benz...very cool...actually, I saw this bus a few times on the street...the cross section and the streamlining makes it look very different from every other bus Ive seen...from the side it looks much like a express coach...or an LRT carriage...but from a frontal angle it looks like a minibus someone described the face as "like some sort of robot" on another skyscrapercity thread...I see it as a "darth vader/stormtrooper" image. Thanks for the pictures, they are pretty nice Here is another article about the disabled buses... I dunno if it is just me but the Star needs to check their writing on Transportation....a lot of terminology and factual errors seem to show up often in their writing... http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story...03&sec=central phrases like "newly modified" and "modified for access" and "speedy installation of these buses" are inaccurate...and the tone of this writing...is very biased as well... One interesting point...the ramp has to be unfolded manually by the driver.... Cheers, m |

One question-- is Rapid KL bus fare subsidized by anyone ? The ticket is too cheap for RapidKL to make income !
RM1 utk tempatan RM2 utk Utama/ Bandaraya RM4 utk combi RM7 utk combi + LRT

actually, I rode the bus this wednesday, and the seats are already starting to show some minor wear....nothing much...but you know, "leather" requires cleaning...regularly.... should have chosen a darker colour.... Cheers, m |

I think Rapid KL must:
1) Make next-stop announcement/display on all buses. 2) Mark every bus stop. Give name to each of them according to their locations. Now im extremely satisfied with the service but to make it World's #1 it needs to improve more

Online trip planner for rapidKL buses...now mobile
If anyone has a smart phone, they can try to use a trip planner for KL, and give their feedback to the creator.
This is from a source working with RapidKL "Do you use a PDA or NokiaSerie60 phone? Would you mind trying out the Nanika Metro database for Kuala Lumpur at http://nanika.net/metro/ ? You'd be able to download and do offline search of the yet "incomplete" RapidKL new routes in that Kuala Lumpur database on your PDA/Series60 device. Just give departure/arrival locations, it tells you the shortest/less-transfers routes. If you have only WAP/GPRS phone, you can try accessing http://i-metro.mobi/ that uses the same Kuala Lumpur database, but the processing will be on the online WAP server, so incurs some GPRS cost (no prob if you have unlimited GPRS)." Your feedback will be very valuable. Cheers, m |

RapidKL stated that it will soon provide bus schedules which is currently being documented. This is good progress. I guess Mr.Wisteria is bringing Wetsren style bus scheduling to KL.
