Eureksa is still not quite finished, still has two cranes on the roof. Should be all done in a month or so.

Both are good, but some of the pictures I've seen of Q1 (in other threads) are beautiful from the base to the crown and in day or night.

Overall Q1 is sleek and far more attractive, Eureka is intersting in its angularity, but it comes off a bit akward.

Q1. While, I think that Eureka is an amazing design, I think the cladding is a bit poor - that bright blue looks like the cheap shit they use in the Middle East and South Asia.

Is it just me or is Eureka ugly from the sides? It looks odd too me.
Looks brilliant here:

but here its damn right ugly IMO

Q1 looks brilliant from every angle and has the best base of any scraper I have ever seen.

My vote dosnt apply though

I prefer Q-1. And it's more iconic as well

Eureka isn't finished yet, not quite a fair vote. But here are some of my photos. Taken yesterday.

Neck breaking.

And an old one from its best angle.

It's close enough finished to get the gist of it. Some Q1 pics:

AMAZING!

How can u blame the fact that Eureka isnt finished? If you seriously cant assume what its going to look like in a few months you have issues.

Because people are also commenting based on things like lighting, and most of Eureka is still unlit, apart from the lower levels where residents have moved in already. That, and the fact that the weather in the past two weeks hasn't been perfect for photos.

(points originally raised by Grollo in the official thread)

The night lighting in particular is a mystery - unlike the Gold Coast, Eureka has a lot of other skyscrapers to compete with - Rialto's blue neons as well 101 and 120 Collins St's crowns currently stand out a lot.

Q1, without a doubt.

Eureka is not good looking, it's just very tall. And it looks like an ugly office building from some angles.

Q1 looks good from any angle, and it would still look good even if it was shorter.

I was not blaming, I was stating a fact. Its not finished, see that big thing on the top? Thats a crane.

I imagine Q1 would still win though, Eureka is more of an aquired taste. And very few non-Aussies are as annoyed about the Q1 facade.
