He posted 3 pics of Eureka at the beginning and the rest of Q1.

Obviously if you are making a comparision then you need pictures of both towers.
I believed that Eureka required more architecturally flattering pictures. Why hate me for that??

I love Q1, but in saying that a tower of such design can be found anywhere else around the world. I believe that is all that the Victorian forumers were stating. I am so over QLD having this so called one sided hatred for Victorian forumers..we are proud and loud if you dont like move along.

Don't be such a smart arse Locke :-) The more pictures that people post of both towers the better and out course people are going to post opinions about which tower is better, this is a comparison thread.

Good thing you're here to warn all these international forumers about us.

Oh and...

I'm not surprised a Qlder instigated this thread in the first place....I guess Q1 needs a bit more vindication on the world forum just to make a point....Q1 is a better design, tallest residential ?....I suppose it had to take a 'stick' to beat their own drum....sarcasm intended....
Look, both designs are great but in different ways.
Just as Qlders are so proud of their own, so too are Victorians.
It still baffles me that everything you guys accuse the Vics of doing to 'push' their point or opinion the Qlder's are just as guilty.
Isn't it a great thing that everyone are 'allowed' to form their own opinion and profess it if they so choose regardless if it differs from the norm.
I think it's great that Australia for it's relatively small population has managed to produce 2 great scrapers at virtually the same time.
It's a pity parochialism can always obscure the obvious.

Yes, we should remind the international audience that:

AUSTRALIA HAS THE TWO TALLEST RESIDENTIAL SKYSCRAPERS IN THE WORLD :-)

Not only the tallest but also the best designed, best looking, most awesome residential skyscapers in the world, no matter which of the two is better.

Ten years ago if you had of suggested that idea people would have laughed at you.

Well Eureka gets photographed way more in the Oz section and by more 'pro' forumers than Q1 does, so I don't think that's true, but anyway, few more shots:

Q1 is stunning. Probably the most beautiful skyscraper in the world.

Definitely Q1 wins hands down. Clean, sweeping sleek lines with better light illumination. Eureka is kinda "Lego-ish" with a hodge-podge of colors here and there.

I'd say it's more like a comparison between a nice, but bland and architecturally boring building to something that is real architecture. It's like comparing Shakespeare to Dan Brown....more people will read the latter and enjoy it more, but it still doesn't mean it has any merit amongst those who know.

I love Q1 also...but I dont think that it is superior to Eureka in any way.

Both are wonderful and suit their respective locations.

Eureka for moi.

Q1 to me represents one of the biggest missed opportunities ever in a major skyscraper. It looks good from some angles but why oh why did they have to use that dreadful cladding that looks more at home on a 60's office block than a 21st century tower. It looks particularly bad from the back where you don't neccesarily appreciate the towers curves. This plus the shortened spire and half finished crown smack of cost cutting and have fatally flawed what could have been a truly beautiful tower.
