I'm gonna go out on a limb and back Justme up on everything he said about Canal Walk. Sorry, that food court is hideous!

The Trafford centre, however, I do quite like and that new mall in Berlin looks quite stunning (as long as there is decent PT to it of course).

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milano... The link between the "Duomo" and the theatre "Alla Scala".... Perfect architecture, the best!

The best mall is any central street in any town. Every shopping centre will be allways artificial.

The filipinos sure love their 'malls'

The Stadsfeestzaal in Antwerp looks amazing, exuberates classiness.

Here's a "top 5" of cities with the best malls in my view.

1.- Turkey: a cohesive mixture of modernism and art. Gorgeous.
2.- Italy: you can never get enough of the classic italian architecture, just breathtaking
3.- Argentina: impressive classic italian style with a modern twist. eye pleasing.
4.- Portugal: beautiful engineerial look with glass/plexi and aluminum.
5.- Poland: modern eye-catching structures, very innovative.

Bottom 3:

Dubai, USA, Philipines.
I go with quality instead of quantity. There's no style, taste, or innovation, just replicas.
IN MY OPINION

I was looking forward for some japanese malls, sadly no one has posted any. Any japanese forumists? please.

Ese edificio de Palacio en monterrey esta bueno, solo destaca la iluminacion.

The Westfield mall in downtown San Francisco is quite nice (I'm glad that this finally opened after a decade of disuse) and the malls in Las Vegas are great too, but otherwise, U.S. malls in general, sad to say, are nothing to get excited about.

I wouldn't characterize the West Edmonton Mall in Canada as beautiful and comparable to the ones in Europe, since some parts of WEM look rundown (I believe the mall was opened in stages?). Still, I like this mall a lot for the variety of attractions it provides: amusement park, waterpark, miniature golf, animal shows, ice skating, etc.

Similarly, the malls in the Philippines, with a few exceptions such as Greenbelt, are not so elegantly designed as the ones in Europe. They resemble American malls and would therefore seem unremarkable too, if not for one thing--they're huge! One will find several malls in the same neighborhood, even across from each other. I also enjoy the atmosphere--most people seem content to just hang out with their friends and families.

All in my humble opinion of course!

Shopping centres seldom are beautiful. Either they are too plastic'n'cheap or way too opulent and over the top with gold and glitter everywhere. Of course there are exceptions but unfortunately they are very rare.
