Here's an American mall I found in the shopping malls article on Wikipedia: the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (northwest of Philadelphia).

Yorkdale and Eaton Centre are nice. I think the Fashion Valley Mall is quite nice in San Diego. As Somerset Collection in Troy, MI.

The Discovery Channel thought the Ski Dubai's engineering was so fascinating that they made a documentary based on construction of the park.

I dont like al these fakething kitsch and so over the top.
I like things with real old style and class like this: like this "Passage" in RoyalCity The Hague The Netherlands its on old shoppingmall from 1885. It was build for the rich (royal) people because the Hague was and is a sophisticated city with upper class people. The last years its renovated. Its one of the oldest Passages from the world together with Moskou, Milan, Paris, Brussel and some other citys. Most off these Passages are removed our bombed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Ibn Battuta Mall, DUBAI, U.A.E
The Ibn Battuta Mall is a large shopping mall on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai close to Interchange 6 for Jebal Ali Village. It is named after famous traveller and explorer Ibn Battuta. Opened in early 2005, the mall is split into six main courts; China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia and Andalusia with linking shopping and circulation areas. All the major outlets found in almost all of the shopping malls elsewhere in Dubai and the Middle East are represented. Géant, a large French supermarket chain has a store here. What a surprise... The malls in Dubai are ugly.I mean sure, an engineering marvel... But also a hideous eyesore.

There's no style? Are you insulting the cultural style of more then half of World's population? All separate sections of that mall have a "seal of approval" as to speak, from native personalities of those countries, being Chinese, Indians, Arabs, Iranians or Spanyards. You sound like someone with total dissregard, ignorance and dissrespect for other cultures. |

There are wonderful examples of Chinese, Arabic, Indian or Spanish style, but that simply isn't it. Clutter doesn't make something stylish. For christs sake, they painted a blue sky on the roof! And the new posts of the European styled mall with the glass roof are just as tacky. They are a mismatch of styles that don't work together and a classic example of how artificial replica's of old buildings in a modern structure don't work together. Besides the fact that the artificial replicas look nothing like the real thing. It's a bit like wearing a football jumper under an Armani suit with tracksuit pants and steelcapped work boots. You wouldn't dress in such a mismatching way, and buildings shouldn't be designed in such a way. Style has several meanings. In the context of these malls it is simply: 1) Style: The way in which something is said, done, expressed, or performed: i.e. Style of architecture but what it lacks is: 2) Style: Comfort and elegance, a quality of imagination and individual taste, chic, flair, grace, panache and sophistication. i.e. this mall has no style So, effectively, this mall's style has no style.

[QUOTE=bob rulz]I think that one mall in the Philippines has surpassed it (I can't remember its name). The Jin Yuan Shopping Mall in Beijing, opened in 2004, is now the largest in the world, while the Mall of Arabia in Dubai to open later this year will become the largest in the world. There's pictures of the West Edmonton Mall in the link to its page; it's a fairly typical-looking mall from what I can tell, just REALLY BIG (it essentially has an amusement park inside of it).
That mall in the Philippines would be "The Mall of Asia" owned and managed by Mr. Henry Sy of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. It is located on reclaimed land at the end of a historical highway in Manila.
