some money needs to be put there , start with the airport for god's sake . Tripoli = huge potentials .

I dont think an airport will be much usefull, but yes Tripoli has huge potential.
alot of newtrendy resturants have started up in Tripoli.

an airport will serve the 2nd largest city in the country along with the whole north Lebanon region.

I think that the Rene Mowad airbase north of Tripoli should be upgraded to be able to handle comercial aircraft...but what would be better is if they built the airport south of Tripoli because there is a nice amount of space there. I know that there is even more space between Tripoli and\or what used to be the Nahr El Bared Refuge camp but that area is WAY TOO ugly
