On what basis would you claim there's more to it "then" we think? Just making it up as you go along ... ?

I have some advice for you: if you aren't happy with the developer, don't buy a unit! The neighbors will be relieved.

First of all im not a buyer there, so there is nothing personal,
regarding actual buyers (which i know more then a few) well they all tell me that they dont trust the information till the see the result,
dont forget that they bought from a different management of Raimonland and lots of things changed since.

They are being sued for copy rights violation regarding the River for using foreign desgin with local production and not like they told the owners, that doesnt make my friends to happy to hear.

and main thing as i said, we can all see it made a great progress but not as it should have by now, and hy wouldnt the developer take pictures of different units to show the progress to the owners, there was only one low floor mock up unit that was shown, but they dont show you the progress inside except the lift corridor.

If i was trying to show my progress as a developer i would show it and not only show something that has been already completed a couple of months ago like the glass exterior...

We can all see the cosmetics, but what about the heart?

No need to repeat myself in 18 months when the project is finally finished and all workers off site The River will be an Icon for Thailand, irony is the specification and finishes will still be better than 185 !!!!

Even though these awards are nothing much-it is all sposored, i agree, St. Regis and Minor group are at least one level higher then the rest.

It is really a joke to put Aquea with St. Regis and The River.

More over, the river is not complete yet so i am not sure how can they compete, and Raimonland didnt develop or finish any project this year to be relevant for the awards this year...

Do not under estimate the value of winning any of the categories just look at any marketing material that comes out in the next 12 months from a winner in fact even the runners up make mileage out of it !

Agreed the project should be completed but the The River is or should have been depending which side of the fence you sit !

I thought St Regis won last year as to Developer whose turn is it !

Well when you are marketing to the masses some stunts and cheap PR might help, but since this is a more "professional" forum i thought that the readers wouldnt or shouldn't be impressed by these "awards". at least i am not, it states nothing on the building but just on the marketing/PR team of the company/Project, as you can see the competitors are not in the same league or project class or quality.

they are comparing apples to pears if you ask me which tells us how real these awards are...

thats my humble opinion

Not true the judges are given a brief that covers all aspects of the development or services short listed whilst not as established as some global property awards it is a start and I see it positive provided the organizers strive to improve and make the process even more quantative.
