Maybe the weather? Is it already cold in Moscow? I think I heard somewhere that this December was the warmest over a century, is that correct?

I don't think it's the weather, it's not that cold in Moscow in December, and this time... well, it's New Year's Eve today and we barely have any snow, and it's +1C outside. So I doubt the reason is the weather, it's quite comfortable even though unusual.

It's just a part of the crane.

The pictures below taken on 19 and 26.12.2011 show that during the construction of a level (here 68) the vertical iron bars are about 1 m higher than the floor of the future next level. So on 19.12.2011 Coth was right IMO to say that the height was 294 m instead of 293 m. And in the middle of next week those of level 69 should consequently reach about 298 m, but the complete ring of boards will hide them now from checking !! That should be just one average level (3,7 m) below City of Capitals tower (301,60 m) even if in fact level 70 will be 8,88 m high.
