Hell yes, the beige-coloured highrise in the middle is 400 meters away from my home, I can see it in the window It's probably my favorite building in the whole city, just saying. That neighbourhood of Moscow is quite a pleasant and beautiful place, though it - as almost any other district of the city - needs some cleaning from commieblocks, including the one I live in Not gonna happen in, like, 50 years though.

100 percent possibility, he is.
But, please, stay on topic, now it takes time to find pics of the tower on the previous pages.

Moscow can easily thrive and beat up any expectation on tourism and compete with London, Washington DC or Madrid. It is full of history and I am sure there is something fun for anybody.

For me personally, the most famous buildings, the museums and the historical sights and flavours of the city are the most important and NOT TO FORGET the Bolsjoy Theater! I guess visiting Moscow and attending one of the concerts like that of Tchaikowsky will be "IT".

Well, I can say as a Moscow citizen, that I have never heard about such accidents. It's just is a part of the Russian culture - to have a serious face in the public transport, not showing any emotions. So, the myth that all the Russians are unkind and gloomy is simply not true, the most of the people are kind and will help you if you get lost or something like that, really. As for the racism, I have to admit that it may affect Caucasian people or Middle Asia migrants, unfortunately. And the risk of getting beaten up is the same as in other big cities.
However, Moscow is really worth visiting! A wonderful city indeed.

I got to know some russian friends two years ago, and the first impression they gave was like you just said... emotionless, but once we knew each other I found they were really nice and kind.

I do not know, as you have, but in Moscow, at train stations and airports are taxi drivers, are you a price room, once in 5 more expensive than regular taxis.

And unfortunately, we foreigners love to cheat: (

In the Moscow subway system is good if you're a tourist, it makes sense to move on it. Only 1 dollar, and skate as you want But there is a minus, as a huge number of people at rush hour.

With regard to crime, if you have a normal, European appearance - will be no problems. In general, in Russia there is no particular problem with racism, Caucasians do not like because of their behavior.

It'a a national tradition: Russians are very closed to the people they don't know, for the foreigners. But wary kind to the people they know at least a little. And we totally don't have the habit to smile all the time. The smile in Russia is rarely used just for etiquette, it 'costs' much more and indicates that person really like you or he/she wants to send you some kind of the message. That's why Russians looks serious or even rough in the streets.

I'm waiting for mr. MyXiN confirmation or not, to know if the bottle of vodka is yet for him or for VitMos

Have you noticed too that level 67 (just below the recently risen boards) is higher than those below it, what means that the heights' diagram (saying that they are ALL 3,7 m high) is not totally exact ! I'm just wondering if it rises or reduces the tower a little bit or if they just compensate each other...

I'm wondering as well with a Moscow temperature : http://www.gismeteo.ru/city/daily/4368/ , expected to reach -24 ° C... on January 26, how they can make concrete with freezing water !

.

Well found. If they are really above 300 meter, they are started with the slanting roof.
