It probably would destroy the whole visual effect and that makes me upset, but I would really like this orange tower to stand out the most so what better way to do it than add a few more floors? (but they really should of proportioned the lower side of the building to this new plan of theirs)

I do not try to convince anybody. If you are happy with this building being elongated in such a way that it looks like a toy cone or a lack of visual dynamism with boring right triangle overall silhuette is ok with you, so be it. The Muscovites deserve what they like, don't they? But there will be a big part of the experts and people with the a good taste that will have a good time laughing upon this baby-drawing of the half of the pine tree, so just don't be upset with this thereafter. I will stand on mine - it's a giraffe neck, it's ugly, Moscow is already ruined. Not that Moscow is any good anyway: beige facade hyper-elite-mega-exclusive crappy apartment buildings that pollute the whole skyline and the desperate wish to look rich with no taste did the deed - Moscow is a second Mumbai.

it could be little bit taller. as there are 72 levels with no slop. it should have been at level 70.

No slope? So it ends up abruptly with horizontal level?

So they are just adding some floors? For what? Increase height? Better appeal? Or is there an economical reason behind this?

Of course, it is considered economically, and looks even more beautiful.

It looks even more elongated. The top part of this building is now too narrow. Gives a nice sense of the lack of any taste. Well, to those who overcompensate! I hope the self-respected architects will never deal with Moscow!

I think the words YaWW, it makes sense. The upper part of the tower gives a very narrow. If the bevel started earlier, it is well combined with the lower part of the building where the bevel starts almost immediately.

There are such things as visual dynamism and visual rhyme, which were beautifully put into the original geometric proportions of this tower. Developer, however, despite well deserved respect for its steady and well performed construction process with the probably best construction management, neglected the original design for sake of height. Now this tower doesn't have a visual appeal and any trace of taste at all. The spire removal was ok, but the silhouette is now all wrong. It could be THE ONLY great russian constructivism building, that encoded everything so dear to the russian heart - the Byzantine gold, the gothic silhouette of Stalinist skyascrapers, even something in common with Kremlin towers. But now.... I see only the Shanghai tackiness.

Looks like there on about the 72nd floor (maybe 73rd). We've got a modern day Chrysler Building in a way. Spire or no spire, final height a mystery...

Why are people overreacting so much over the height increase? bring it on I say, the proportions were never amazing anyway, this a tally improves the aesthetics of the tower!
