Some of the internal fittings are finished, too.

It's definitely a worthy symbol of capitalism for Russia. Moscow doesn't really have anything symbolic that wasn't ruined by the communists.

Umm, what about the Kremlin? Though I agree with you in part, they destroyed a lot of great architecture, and didn't build anything worthy themselves after the 50s. What they did build before that time is admirable, though.

They destroyed Chudov Monastery and Ascension Convent for construction of Red Commanders School. In addition, they destroyed stairway of Palace of Facets (restored in 1994) and built State Kremlin Palace, which look out of place at this site.

What about Moscow University and the similar buildings, some of the most beautiful skyscrapers ever built?

Oh well, seems I don't know much about the Kremlin. Pretty embarassing considering I live, like, two kilometers away from it. Thank you.

The Red Commanders School (aka Kremlin Presidium) isn't that bad though, by the way.

Well, I doubt "built by communists" classifies as "not ruined by them", so they don't count

No, in the Russian section they said the height progressed. It is nearly T/O.
If you take a good look you will see some people on the top.

BTW it is right not to build a spire. It wouldn't harmonize with the cluster.

I don't want a spire either. The increase in floor height made up for it, so now there's really no point. If you notice, the previous design had the spire starting from the last setback with a white mast-like structure, and that space is now just covered by ordinary cladding. There will be no spire; it is far too late for that.

Yes, I dind't mean you exactly, just some guys said they want it.
It's good that it is nearly t/o so they can concentrate on the cladding.

I still insist that the shape of the building itself calls, no, it cries for a spire. Of course constructing a spire that was shown on older official renders is now impractical and improbable, but a simple antenna-like spire is still quite possible and it definitely should be there.
