I suppose you would prefer one of your all time favourite 'glass boxes' here instead?

Are you trying to be funny? I'd prefer something that isn't clad in ghastly Po-Mo orange glass.

It should have been really obvious when looking at the rest of MIBC. It's all pomo. And you're not getting anything art-deco here so the only other option is "glass box"

They put orange glass to make Moscow not seem like such a dull grey place. Blue glass is getting boring.

The rest of the cluster is not Po-Mo at all. Nor is glass box the only other option. There's plenty of shapes to choose from.

Colour determines whether or not it is postmodernist?
Postmodernist towers, apparently:

And actually most whacky shape glass powers are considered by many to be 'postmodernist,' like the Shard or Flame Towers or the entire rest of the moscow cluster.
(Even though I refer to them as 'modern' and leave 'postmodern' to the art-deco ripoffs)

The use of it does. Gold cladding (or garish and clashing colours) is a characteristic of Po-Mo as is that white framing.

Lots of art-deco postmodernist towers use concrete, although modern towers do, as well. You can't just say colour makes it postmodern. It's all to do with chape and cladding patterns. Not colour.

A modernist building with gold cladding

It's because many tacky Las Vegas/ middle east resorts used gold cladding that it became associated with postmodernism.

Edit: White framing, yes, but not gold windows.

I will agree that it's the most postmodernist of the bunch. But if that's so, then I guess I like postmodernism as well.

I think you can. Po-Mo is characterised by the use of garish, clashing colours, shape is also a characteristic but more often than not it is the colour that defines it. Id describe the buildings in your last two photos as Po-Mo, precisely because of colour - a modernist would never use it in such a way. The building in HK is modernist, though. Anyway, thats off-topic.

I've also heard that gold cladding keeps the internal temperatures more even, like, if it is cold (air conditioned), it stays cold or if it is hot (heated), it stays hot. But I could be wrong, I'm not an expert on that stuff, although I'd like to know!

Best-looking tower in Europe! Really like the design and the color, wouldn't look out of a place in a sci-fi city. Hope they finish soon, I wonder who the tenants will be...

Clashing... with what? I guess you don't mean that gold can clash with white.

It looks like the next level won't have gold cladding either.

How can you tell that, have some parts of the next level gone in already. I think i would look really good if they did all the top in black, i think it could look a little strange going back to gold now.

Well because I don't get how they will put normal gold cladding there since there is only concrete.
