Poor, poor Moscow. It deserves better than this. I can't believe this. Yes, Russia is poor in some parts, but it is one of the most expensive cities in the entire world to live in, also it has more billionaires and millionaires than any other city in the world. Why doesn't anyone help them out. All of these amazing towers and designs are now being cancelled and reduced by height. I was really excited to see this new CBD for Moscow. I love Moscow, with a passion, it is one of, if not the most, amazing cities on Earth. No Russia Tower? The Federation Towers are being reduced? And now this? Ohhh, poor Moscow. The completion date on this was suppose to be January 1, 2010, and it sure looks like that won't be met. Why can't someone help out this poor city. That is what I wish I could do. Poor Moscow. I'll love it forever though.

Poor Moscow? I imagine that post would be quite offensive to Russians on this site...treating the city as if its only merits were the new skyscrapers being built at the IBC. Moscow is an amazing city, and although these recent developments are disappointing, it is no need of pity.

I don't quite understand why this people on the website are so rigorous. My God, I was just saying my thoughts and obviously I can't even do that with out someone grousing at me. It's a website for God's sake. I'm sick of it. And it is a pity, Uaarkson, because Moscow is a great city, and deserves a wonderful skyline in return, not to have each project cancelled, on hold, or size decreased. I'd think Russians, of all people, should agree with that.

Well, you are stating that "each project [is being] cancelled, on hold, or size decreased". That is not true, even for MIBC alone - which is still just a district in a sprawling city, much like Manhattan in New York (equal Manhattan for whole NY - and New Yorkers will be very upset, I'm sure). Let's see.

This one, Mercury City Tower, is under construction right now. There's even one of developers here on a forum, sharing the latest construction news.

Two towers of Capital City have just been finished weeks ago.

Construction of Imperia tower resumed couple of months ago and continues now.

The construction of Federation Tower East is on hold, yes, but given the amount of money involved in construction already, it will resume sooner or later as well. Given the impact of project, it is likely to get built to its original height. Not definite - nothing is certain with half-bankrupt developer such as Mirax - but likely.

The construction of Russia tower pretty much never started, those preparation works cost a fraction of sum needed for the whole tower. And the developer of this tower had several grandeur projects with unimaginable budgets but with little development history. No surprise, then, he couldn't secure financing for it in the midst of financial crysis.

Outside of MIBC Nordstar tower and WTC-2 towers were recently completed. By no means wonders of architecture, they are modern highrises and are OK as a filler.

Finally, speaking of skyline. Moscow will probably never have such an impressive skyline as, say, Hong Kong or most major American cities, because it is sprawled out like Paris or London. There's nothing to be pity of.

Well, thank you for your clarification, GunSlinger. I appreciate your information, and not actually being rude about it. WCT-2 Towers, I must admit, they're nice, but I really do hope someday that MIBC will truly be prosporous and a world wonder, but that for now, because of all realistic reasons, may be on hold and know one knows how long.

14th floor already? Can't wait till they reach 30 and up, it will start having a much bigger impact on the skyline.

Well, It`s even now not very exciting climbing all those stairs many times in a day for me, the lift is coming 6 floors behind...

On the pics it actually looks a bit smaller than how it will actually look like. But great renders nonetheless!

It somehow looks straight out of 90s Jakarta. Which I like.

The cluster will be more colorfull, with City Hall and City Duma red-ish, and the green-ish Imperia Tower.
