Yeah but he wasn't talking about future skylines that don't exist yet.

And I'm sure that London, Paris and Istanbul will have something to say about Moscow being in a "league of its own".

I was not talking about future skylines either. IMO Moscow is more impressive now, even though it is still a work-in-progress-kinda skyline. I have seen both in person and Moscow's one is huge and dense and not .... boring. Frankfurt's skyline is obviously more complete but has no wow factor and just not tall enough to impress.

And about Paris, London and Istanbul. May be they will. I hope they will. I just do not see it now.

Which skyline? with all respect, but this cluster of a few skyscrapers is the skyline? Moscow has Moscow-city, seven sisters and other different skyscrapers over the whole city wich is much more impressive.

And I am not even talking about the future

Yes, it is. We are in Europe, 3-4 highrises can comprise a cluster in a European city.

The construction of the Moscow-city is not over. It doesn't look neat yet.
When the Federation tower is built Moscow will have the better skyline than Frankfurt/ I hope it will take 2 years more. (thanx to the crisis)
PS I contradict to what is written below though

I do not play with pictures looking for a better angle. You have to see them in person. And I know one thing - I have seen them both and Moscow's skyline is just better, even though it is not finished and a little bit messy. It has size; it has unique buildings; it is like a giant. It feels very modern. Frankfurt has 2 tall ones and a bunch of mid-size skyscrapers. Only Moscow Biz Center has already 5 legitimate ones and Mercury is getting bigger and bigger and Federation tower should be finished too.

BTW, there are more than 5 buildings over 200 meters in Moscow. I personally feel that 250 meters (or something around this) is the number and Frankfurt has only two of those.

Moscow has the better skyline IMO. For a european city skyline to be great prominent old and new landmarks must be on show... London is acheiving this, paris will in time with tours hermitage and other projects and moscow has acheived this but to what extent- how many of the buildings in Moscow will become famous outside of Russia? With no Russia tower, none I say. Not being a fan boy, but the gherkin is as recognisable worldwide as St pauls cathedral/ tower bridge right? So to do moscow justice one of these towers should be as iconic as say Moscow university...

Just my personal thoughts, sorry to drag this thread so far off topic. And just so you moskovites know, I'm a big fan of Moscow and this IBC... We could learn a few things from the IBC and it's interesting shaped towers when it comes to canary wharf in London... I do understand however that these particular towers aren't built to be too iconic, they compliment the Russia tower... Such a shame it couldn't be built.

The renders show a tall, beautiful blond.

The current reality is a chunky girl with wavy orange hair.

Will she grow into a lovely sight to behold? Only time will tell.

Does anyone know if they used the same method as the Royal Bank Tower in Toronto? The glass for the RB Tower was treated with gold in it as insulation, hence the gold colour.
