I saw the cladding with my own eyes many times. Believe me, the cladding can be golden, copper, brown, almost black, pink (rose).
The only possible situation when the cladding could look orange if the sun itself is reflected on the glass. But I've never seen this situation. We have to wait till the cladding goes further up.

Well, AFAIK normal displays can't display gold colour - because it's not a colour. The "base of being gold" is that reflects light, and this can't be displayed. Type "gold" to google images, take any picture, remove light reflections - you'll get something from yellow to orange, depending on the base picture.

Cladding looks different in different light conditions - it suggests, that its factor of reflection is rather big, so I think we can call it "gold". It has some base colour, just like actual metal gold - there exist white gold, yellow gold, orange gold, even pink and blue gold (-;

There is allways a problem and lots of discussion of kind-of-a-gold buildings. In Warsaw we have Zebra Tower - it also has gold elevation, but less glossy (and therefore less colour-changing). There were also a lot of haters and lovers of this colour...

Can we close this offtopic on concluding, that the cladding on MCT is orange gold?

No matter what the colour is, it's FANTASTIC & so is the building in itself!

I am not sure why you think this semi-interesting debate is 'offtopic'.
???

Brad, I agree that photoshop can alter color, but I didn't PS anything, I just copied actual picture on this site and put them next to each other.

I am holding three items up to my computer screen. A florida orange (thanks to the guy in the office next to me) a bright new shiny American penny (what we call copper) and a 14k gold watch. Most of the pictures come closest to matching the penny.

This is on topic, it's not orange or gold! More copper really, but yeah I guess the sunlight affects the colour of it, which is good in a way

Just wish the cladding was silver, or black like a Chicago skyscraper... Would look so classy... This would look awesome in Vegas... Here? Nah. It should look better once the whole cluster is complete perhaps...

Yes, it is shine, reflection, instead of color
P.S. If color - copper

I love the cladding! When I saw the first renderings of that building, I thought i wouldn't like it, but I changed my mind

Hopefully they'll finish the Federation Tower - it would be a nice contrast to MCT.

The only truly secure system is one that is powered off, cast in a block of concrete and sealed in a lead-lined room with armed guards - and even then I have my doubts. Gene Spafford.

It looks a little bit old-fashioned but Moscow hadn't skyscrapers in 70-80s (except for Stalin's towers) so this tower will fill the history gap in some way

The design is great. Kind of like Trump Tower in Chicago with a few more sloping rooflines.

I guess I could post side by side pictures...

Like I said, add slopes to Trump and the two could be twins. Even the heights (roof) are similar.
