Can we not just think that The Shard and Mercury City Tower are both fantastic pieces of architecture and make their respective cities proud? Does everything have to be judged as being better or worse than something else?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but where does the name "Mercury City" come from?

Mercury is gray, only in false colour images it can be seen as orange. Perhaps because Mercury is an incredibly dense planet,

Think of it as the Dale Winton tower or which ever equivalent for which ever country.
