the first Infotainment Industrial Park in the country at Kazhakuttam near Thiruvananthapuram is offering incubation support for start-ups from the Entertainment and Animation industry. The incubation centre at KFVP offers the right ambience for creative minds to start off, without incurring huge costs. The centre, which can accommodate four units, comes with a 3-seat facility. Units can even find takers for their service within the park itself is an added incentive.

The Incubation Centre also offers a common discussion room inside the animation building to provide facilities for budding companies to start their activities. The entrepreneurs can use the other infrastructural facilities such as conference hall and business centre for a nominal user fee.

Set in a beautifully landscaped area of 75 acres of land, KFVP is a fully owned subsidiary company of Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra), a statutory body of Government of Kerala aimed at developing industrial infrastructure in the State. KFVP is also the first SEZ for Animation and Gaming in India, established to promote the animation and gaming industry and studios. ARS Software Engineering Technopark develops Traffic Controlling Software




Trivandrum, September 17: ARS Software Engineering, a dutch company, which has its important unit working in Technopark has been developed a special sofware for controling Traffic crowd in Indian cities.

Its GPS enabled traffic management software will be introduced to the metro cities of India soon. In the first stage, the software is going to institute in Karnataka's transport corporation to manage 4000 buses.


The company's technopark wing is already handling the traffic of important European cities like Amsterdam by giving instructions to the police officers about the trafficand crowd in cities with the help of the software.

1 lakh for TP1-4 seems to be a gross underestimation. 30 K for TP-I is not counting the NEST and CDAC campuses, and Leela IT park completely. Counting TCS also, TP-1 will eventually have a capactiy of ~45K.
TP-II, according to published finished areas, should be 12k from INFY + around 20k from UST - atleast 30k.
TP-III will hopefully be denser than I and II. Even estimating at a lower end, 30K should be possible. So, 1L should be possible without counting Technocity.

Hysitron Inc, a provider of nano mechanical test instruments, inaugurated its India R&D centre and 100 per cent subsidiary, Hysitron Nanotechnology India Pvt Ltd in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. The new facility was inaugurated by Thomas J Wyrobek, president, Hysitron Inc, at the Thejaswini building.

The new R&D Centre is spread over 4,000 sft, according to a company release. Hysitron has recently expanded its product portfolio to quantitative in-site nanomechanical testers for transmission electron microscopes, scanning electron microscopes and dual-beam focused ion beam.

Just had discussion with one of the Top gun in HCL technologies regarding my assignment there. He is an Aiyer basically from Nagarkovil, Kanyakumari. As per him HCL Tecahnologies is planning a massive ODC in Trivandrum. They were also considering coimbatore but almost zeroed in technopark.
