look im sorry, but i never had to post a positive comment. The projects are meant to be critiqued; i don't see why i would be banned for calling a project, ugly and environmentally bad.

With the price reaches 3 million dollar per unit, even if I am rich, I will not buy any house in this palm island. The very reason is that there are no trees and yard. They suppose to distance between houses at least for 20 meters so that it will have more privacy for each house and there is space for yard.

That question also comes to my mind. Is that not TOO MUCH?

I am curious. Who will stay at those thousands of hotel's rooms? I mean will people love to come to the place that is very hot, that the sun heats us like microwave?

And the sad news perhaps the workers, those Indians, Pakistani etc who have to go back to their country once the projects are finished and still being poor.

Ciao

This not the right wish.
We shall worry about and prepare for fire, security etc but to wish it happens is bad.

I agree with you in the sense that group such as taliban in the future will not only attack western countries but also Muslim countries that collaborate or follow western lifestyle. Bali is the example.

"Atlantis, The Palm, the flagship resort of the revolutionary Palm Jumeirah opened its doors today and welcomed through the first guests. The much anticipated opening of Dubai’s first integrated entertainment resort is set to enhance Dubai’s incredible tourism proposition."

“Following an intense development period of long days and nights by a team of approximately 3,000, we are proud to introduce Atlantis, The Palm to our first guests and the public. Atlantis, The Palm is an entertainment destination that is truly different than anything that currently exists in the resort category in the region. When you combine 1,539 rooms of grand proportion, high design from talents like Jeffrey Beers, David Rockwell, Adam Tihany and Wilson Associates, an incredible water adventure at Aquaventure, a marine habitat of 65,000 marine animals, a beautiful stretch of beach, luxury boutiques, and numerous dining experiences with celebrity chef restaurants, we know we are giving people unparalleled experiences new to the Middle East,” Alan Leibman, President/Managing Director, Kerzner International said.

The photos are excellent. I'd never seen the houses lining those islands for some reason. I guess I'd always seen far away shots. Anyways, this project is incredible, and I'm looking forward to seeing it grow.

Looks good, there will be plenty of such views in the area when the other palms, the world islands, the waterfront and the universe are done (however they end up doing the so called universe).
