every version has images of Dubai, because the images are not in the program. The program connects to the internet and downloads the images from the Google server.

They update their database sometimes... most of the times they dont update all world images, just parts that hadnt hi-res. My guess is that the next update on Dubai only after 6-months 1 year.

there are several weird image overlays which make some parts of Dubai disappear, for example dubai autodrome.

For anyone in the UK or others with access to BBC news24 there will be a short item about the Burj on the Fastrack programme at 15:30 BST Saturday.

From a never seen angle before (hilton creek). You can see how it impacts the skyline (pic by tines lifecosmos):

Enjoy .

No Glass

Thanks for the excellent Photo's. I actually like the fact the we are getting to see a lot of the structure without any glass on it yet. There is still 2 1/2 years of construction to go on this building. So there's plently of time to get the glass on it and still meet the December 30, 2008 completion date. This thing is going to look insane when done!

Great update!

Now the tower is getting more slender, time per floor will become shorter maybe...

If they really wanted to be at level 92 in december 06, I think the building would be finished way before the official date i.e. december 08.
