Umm, that masterplan is sort of wrong, it has changed.
Perfect opertunity to show off this:

Right now the creek is being expanded for a huge new CBD development that will surround the burj dubai complex. This is all being built next to the current towers along the highway.

The current skyline with the burj dubai and the international financial centre:

when u see the tower with your own eyes it's hard to imagine that it will be approx. 5 times the current size...
________________________________________________________________
Yes it is hard to imagine.I have never been there, but i was in Paris and saw the Eifel tower. This thing is already huge. But the burj Dubai will be aproximately 2.6 times higher than the Eifel tower.AND THAT IS REALLY HARD TO IMAGINE!!!!!!!! But when its finished i will visit it and go up on the obsevatory. This will be excyting.

A minor concern but it'll be interesting to see if they'll do anything special to cram anything higher than 100 on the poster. It appears designed for 2 large numbers but I'm sure they'll just shrink them down once it's necessary.

Nice way to keep track of the building height!

Northway, yep. 44 currently from all that we can tell.
