Thank you !Besides he forgets, in its short history (11 years), this stadium has already hosted many major events: 2 World cup finals (IRB+FIFA) 2 UEFA Champions League finals (2000 & 2006) 1 FIFA confederations cups final 1 IAAF world championships in athletics 1 annual Golden league meeting and also many concerts... This is not so bad ! |

all stadiums host allot of events, but it does not mean it looks good. Its an ugly design and my opinion.

It's maybe not the best looking stadium, but this project is from the mid 90's so it is great to have such a stadium in 2009 15 years after being designed!

The operators of this venue are also the operators of the new World Cup stadium in Cape Town.

I don't like the stadium. The location seems amazing though.

I know, nobody likes it, except me
![]() But it's big, suitable for 3 sports (football, rugby and athletics) with its mobile stands, it has 10,000 business seats and 172 suites and has hosted 2 World Cup finals (football + rugby), 2 UEFA CL finals and IAAF world championships in athletics : All that in less than 10 years..... Finally, I'm maybe not the only one who likes it...... Its design is simple and classy/elegant (I mean it's not a kitsch plastic-style and/or colourful "design" as so many other stadiums).. etc Last edited by parcdesprinces; July 15th, 2009 at 08:37 AM. |

U2 Stadium : (for big concerts, the stand behind the stage is retracted, like for athletics)
