Trump contains hotel units (286) and condominiums (472). Condos are selling, on average, for $1200/square foot, up from $700/square foot three years ago. They range from $550,000 to $28 million, the price tag of the 89th floor penthouse which the Donald has said he plans on keeping for himself (though he'd likely sell it if he found a buyer). As for hotel units, I'm not entirely sure. Back in 2004, they were priced at $425,000 to more than $1 million. But I'm sure those numbers have gone up in light of the rise in price/square foot over the last couple of years.

I have a few pictures of my own. Taken Thursday June 28, 2006

View of the construction site from the 20th floor of IBM Plaza - 2006-6-28

Someone before asked why was there a change in the thickness of the floor plates at the edge of the building. The answer to that question, is because in these areas, the floorplates act as beams. The span between columns in this part of the building is 60'

Clips from where the curtain wall will be hung - 2006-6-28

I agree, it's going pretty fast. One thing I notice about the building is that its structure looks very strong.

Why would they do that? They're gonna be covered up anyway.

To match the river. Maybe have a design to it. Have different shades of blue in a wave form.

I still don't get why either. Why add extra costs and waste time for something that's going to be hiddn by the glass curtain wall on the exterior and most likely hidden on the interior?

No, on the first page, they have visable concrete columns. Look at it.

That's what I was assuming as well. I hope that they would only use the best finishes for such a tower.

It's for the parking ramp. You can almost imagine something like the ones next to the John Hancock Center.
