I've already checked some airports from India, but I think New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport stands-out for me...

I agree, while I think it's not as good as China's best, it's definitely world class, better than lots of dated airports in the US.

Though Bombay/Mumbai, Chennai/Madras, Kolkata/Calcutta, Bangalore and Hyderabad also boasts of state-of-the-art international airports, their quality of service and reliability can't even match New Delhi's... still a long way to go.

NIce to see Shenzhen airport's taking inspiration from other airports

@ Shree - thanks for your comments on Indian airports Am sure the Chinese would love to hear of your comments on Beijing airport as well .

Quoting Shree : The Chinese are merely worried about putting on a big show and showing that they can build wonders. However, they never seem to do much to do with culture in each of the places. I salute Delhi for adding aspects of Indian culture to the airports. Also, Beijing isn't that great and airport behind all that architectural show

Mumbai's airport is on the way to becoming world-class. Kolkata is almost done too. Chennai is almost done. And yes, delhi's T3 is probably better than any american airport. I never really took a fancy to their airports or their airlines though.

China's airports, stunning as they are surely have some sort of place as a show to the works of their capabilities. They lack cultural aspects too.

all credits for the designer of Shenzhen Airport
once it came out, it turned into world class scheme directly
also thanks for some consultants from Holland
who suggested to close down Terminals A and B
and mainly uses T3 then build a T4
it seems to be world class arrangement for me so far...

Shenzhen Airport has terminal A, B and C right now. Are they going to close them? I think they are pretty decent terminals with subway connection and good enough for other options such as economy terminals.

Anyway, these terminals are much needed by local and regional carriers for budget-friendly flights.

Shenzhen Airport doesn't have terminal C...
There are terminals A,B and D.
yay so far they are about to be closed after the opening of T3
well there are some plans for TA, B and D...
some said TA and TB is going be a exhibition centre, some said they are going to be cargo terminals.
according to the master plan of the airport, T4 will be built some day in the future.
I think TA, B and D are ideal for budget airlines
but the new system of T3 and T4 may work better

there were 5 airports in india which handled more than 10 mln passenger in 2011, and there were 21 in mainland China.

Please stop comparing...

Honestly, who cares...
