I proposed it is a common practice to achieve 4-day floor cycle in HK & Mainland China on high rise construction,
the contractor will be classified as "disqualified" if she unable to achieve it.

We have records in HK constructing high rise buildings in 3days floor cycle,
Citibank Plaze in Central and many many residential blocks are examples.

magnificent tower. i still prefer the circular cut out at the top rather than the rectangle which looks bland.

No, the cladding was started a couple of monhts ago and a crown has recently been added. You can check some updates here . BTW this forum needs its own Shanghai general construction thread.

I definitely agree- the rest of SWFC is very smooth and graceful. The circular opening looks just natural! The rectangle looks all jagged and intrusive. <sigh> politics... BTW, does the circular opening allow better windflow and less resistance?

no apparently...they had to change the design at the top because of the wiindflow problems or something along those lines
