LOL. Not all the other buildings are ugly. IMO, the only ugly buildings in Lujiazui are the Azia Centre (c'mon, what is a rectangular building doing there?), the Super Brand Mall (it is just hideous- especially when you look at it from the side), the Convention Centre (the two sphere-like ends are just ugly), the thing next to the Convention Centre (its on the riverfront), and the building that is in front of the Oriental Pearl Tower (what's its name?).

no most of them are hideous. easier to count the ones that are not absolutely atrocious. The three buildings (the big blue buildings, the bocom center, and the hong kong bank) behind the oriental pearl are good. Citi group and aurora are decent. HSBC buildings is pretty westernlooking and graceful. Lastly, the two supertalls are elegant. The rest are just freaks of architecture

many places shown on those photos which were taken during the time span of mid 80's to mid 90's has experienced phonemenal changes. quiet a tribute to modern Shanghai wouldnt everyone agree?

Wow, I am always amazed by these Shaghai buildings. The range of architecture is amazing and my favourite has to be the Jin mao tower.

how will shanghai look in 10-20 years?? maybe the'll have 5-10 towers with over 400m and some which are taller than 500-600m.
