Also I think there are too many towers that have been PROPOSED and wont ever happen (wont say which ones other wised would piss people off) but should this diagram only reflect actaully started building and not PREOPOSED or APPROVED??
thanks ill update. All of the towers in diagram supposed to be uc. i only put them in there because i was told there actually started. not happy when people make up stuff. I dont want to remove them and then a month later they start. which ones do you think are definatley not gonna start? please pm me if you want

richard
Id say unless there is proof of the tower starting (project sign board, pilling, shoring etc underway or a major press release) then a projecty is mearly PROPOSED or APPROVED.
Dubai unfortunatly has a few that fall into this catagory but then so do many other towers such as Lotte and Ice tower, majestic etc.
for Dubai the following have not started Najid and Al Sharq
cheers

great work richard.

as malec and sa boy have suggested, for dubai, leave out al Sharq and Najd.

Rahim Al Attar should be core 5ht floor, and i think Ocean Heights has piling in full swing, the torch has excavation almost done.

rose rotana is 71st level.

appearantly the developer who owns the plot (tameer) has according to one of our forumers sold it to the Saudi/arabtec Joint Venture which is building the nearby 210m Le Reve luxury tower, but other sources seem to suggest Tameer still wants to develop the plot themselves with a supertall.

I think excavation was done and then it just stopped at the hole in the ground stage. We've heard it's cancelled now though
